Setting In a magic world, where alchemy and technology merges, Lilly just arrived at the Arkham town to try and get a good living as a freelance journalist, and at her very first day she witness a giant-robot attack, which is swiftly beaten by another mysterious robot, that she eventually learns is called Demonbane. Pacing Only as a promotional OVA for the PS2 game, Demonbane OVA does not ships much of a plot or development. The title only follows Lilly as she tries to get more information or pictures of Demonbane, somewhat as if the anime itself was just showing each character from the game. With very little time in only two episodes, Demonbane have a nice visual work, and presents what probably the game is all about: Magic in mechas against Magic in mechas, handsome heroes against insane villains, huge mecha fight, and this time, their best moves come from magic and not technology. The battles are much like a childish ballet with weird moves and actions, and the villains are equally nonsensical. Not that it's a bad aspect of the title, but it's worth mentioning in case you were wondering if this was a serious title. Conclusion Until Demonbane (robot) makes it's debut, the title manages to keep certain mysterious pacing and you can even relate to the main character. However, after that, it just becomes plain promotional video, we see lots of pretty characters using weird powers - obviously, tryinh to convince viewers (users) to buy the game. The 'main' character Lilly completely vanishes in the last 4 minutes of the anime, which I can only call as a big promo. Although it's a interesting, graphically challenging and even funny, Demonbane is only a promotional instance. If you do not want to play the game, you might as well skip this. The series that aired in 2006 is definitely better. ![]() Staff & Crew

Before one labels a history as cliché, predictable or beaten, think about this: "What really matters is life and how you live it, not the predictability of Death"
