Setting

Satsuki and Mei just moved to their new county house with their father. A few days later, while aimlessly browsing thru the nearby forest, Mei finds out Totoro, a Forest spirit. Now, Mei and Satsuki have not only a great friend, but also the lord of the forest.

Pacing

Basically a wonderland fairytale movie aimed to children that, with it's extremely "Make-you-fell-good" and slice-of-life feeling makes this an excellent title for all ages.

Light, with several cute situations, Tonari no Totoro will certainly leave you with a smile in your face after watching it.

Conclusion

A children?s movie for all ages! Perfect to just passtime, get some warm laughs or simply get a warm feeling.

As always, a Ghibli masterpiece.

Before one labels a history as cliché, predictable or beaten, think about this: "What really matters is life and how you live it, not the predictability of Death"
