In the near future, after a long war, mankind became extinct. Haruka is now the last human girl on earth, and protected by 5 intelligent robots, she grows trying to find the misteries of life, mankind, and look for other survivours, living on the ruins of Tokyo. Pacing The series focuses deeply on Haruka and the 5 robots daily problems, each with their own personality and characteristics, trying to life on the desolated and destroyed world where, just to make things worst, robot factories still work and 'replicate' themselves, creating more military robots to keep their original programming: the war. As the series goes, it focuses on a certain dosis of 'Make-you-feel-good' anime, and although we have an apocaliptic plot, the title actually is pleasant and nice. Eventually, however, some new news and discoveries that Haruka and her friends make actually change the plot pacing, making it an intersting thriller. Conclusion Slow paced and filled with subtleness, Kurogane is not the conventional mainstream anime for standard fans. However, the ones looking for something with a meaning and better character development will find a excelent series. With little action, a lot of introspection and a pleasant characterization, Kurogane is all about it's characters and problems, and with a nice and paced plot, this title certainly will not please those looking for action. Yet, this is a gem of subtleness and will definetelly leave those who relate to the characters with a warm feeling in the end. Staff & Crew

Before one labels a history as cliché, predictable or beaten, think about this: "What really matters is life and how you live it, not the predictability of Death"
