When Azumu goes in vacation to his home town - Tana - where he father lives (divorced parents), he meets his old childhood friends, and actually find something more. As mysterious lights appear thru the town, except only he and little Miku can actually see them, Azumu ends up meeting with Wakkun, a boy who tells him he have been waiting for this reunion for quite some time, but also, only Miku seams to know or even see him. As Azumu spends his days at this peaceful town, more and more strange things starts to happen, and the ordinary and common sense might eventually get challenged. Pacing The first warning about Zettai Shonen is simple: this is a very slow paced, to the point of dragging. However, there are neither filler episodes nor extra episodes: every single episode is important to the plot, with small subtle information that can help you understand everything about the series in the end. Therefore, as slow as it it, bear with it, as all episodes are needed. Anyway, the mystery on Zettai Shonen is constant and is it's most attractive quality (if you don't feel compelled to learn more about what is going on by episode 3 or 4, stop watching, as this will go on until the anime ends). It's a love or hate series. Another warning: Zettai Shonen is divided into two parts. The first 12 episodes focuses on Azumu and Miku at Tana, while the second part will focus on different characters at Yokohama (guess where Azumu lives with his mother?). Although there are different characters, eventually Azumu will meet with the characters of the second part as the title comes to a conclusion, and everything 'fits'. Zettai Shonen is slow, but that is because it takes it time to develop all it's factors: characters, plot, events, philosophy. Everything is well explored and all characters developed. Conclusion At certain point, the dragging gets annoying but if you are into the plot you will forgive that. Zettai Shonen is a magnet for those who are eager to make assumptions, theories and philosophies based on what is shown. The main plot is highly philosophical, and it actually goes beyond that to add a new genre: the title will not actually explain anything, but rather will show what each character thinks is happening, the same way as the viewers will have their opinions. Although some events can be understood if you pay close attention to the details and add each character opinion regarding their biased point of view (and we do see they are biased and why), we can come up with an ultimate explanation ... or not!? If you are a action fan, stay away from this title, you will fall asleep in the first episode only to wake up at the end credits of the last episode. However, for those who like to think and have fun exploring multiple possibilities about not only the plot of this title but their own life, this is the title for you. Zettai shonen characters learn, grow up and evolve, and in the middle of that, learn about human nature. Anime Opening

Before one labels a history as cliché, predictable or beaten, think about this: "What really matters is life and how you live it, not the predictability of Death"
