In 2010, the history of 10 girls at Acropolis town, a new city built in Japan using the latest technology. Each episode follows only one girl and their problems, and some episodes feature interesting camera or direction artifices to make them unique (episode 2 has a fixed camera, episode 11 we never see other people, only the main character, regardless where she is or to whom she is talking) Episode preview ep1 - Yukina Kurimoto Yukina is a genius that developed most of the Acropolis Tower systems. When terrorists place bombs at Acropolis, she is the only one with enough knowledge to stop them. Problem is, she has anxiety panic attacks if males see her ... and obviously right now Acropolis is filled with male officers and policeman. ep 2 - Tanpopo Tanpopo is a little girl who loves small teddy bears. However, little does she know that a pervert placed a camera inside her latest 'Friend' and can see and hear everything she does. ep 3 - Chinami Ouse Chinami, with divorced parents, living with her father, finds herself at a dilemma, as her mother wants to marry. Now she will try to test her future father-in-law to check if he is suitable for her mother, while checking what her father things about it ep 4 - Hatsumi Kusunoki Hatsumi never wanted to be girly and, in fact, she is a tomboy. As one of her teachers asks her to model to her ... nude ... she obviously rejects. But such teacher will not stop until she accepts her proposal. ep 5/6 - Shion and Sakura Murasame The Murasama sisters are rich and powerful, and what they don't know, love each other, but can't express their feelings or even understand it. By using a unique device which simulates the world from the point of view of another person, they finally understand each other, as they understand what is real and what is not. ep 7 - Saeno Hiiragi Saeno is an English teacher, but actually she loves and holds sacred Mathematics. Some years ago, her teacher thought her about several dilemmas and transcendental axioms about mathematics, logic, and PI, and how it might be related to reality. In this episode, we see a lot of those theories, with a special focus at the mysteries of PI itself (she is always holding a book with the PI symbol at the cover, and inside we have hundreds of pages of PI, with a cover message: 'This book has a beginning but no end'). ep 8 - Ayaka Rindou Ayaka is a successful - yet secret - mangaká. As her father's friend's son comes to live with them for a while, it ends up affecting her life, ideals and work. ep 9 - Kasumi Kurenai Kasumi became a myth among teenagers. At this episode, a crew is set to make a documentary about such myth, and aside from studying and documenting the events, they also try to make live recreations behind Kasumi's history. As the filming go on, we see how a myth can be exaggerated, distorted and even destroy the life of a person. Little do they know that among the crew there is Kasumi herself. ep 10 - Kurumi Matsumoto Kurumi is not only a pretty college student ... she is pretty, rich and eccentric. She is the leader of a secret organization who fights crime in search for justice! ep 11 - Urara Tachibana Daughter of the deceased Acropolis Architect, Tachibana wants to continue her father's project, becoming an engineer and improving Acropolis. However, her obsession for her father damages her social life. Conclusion Seraphim Call is an interesting work and each episode is completely self-contained and we can watch this series in any order without worrying about continuity (thought the last episode merges all the girls). Character development is quite good and the unique camera and direction featured on some episodes are very interesting. Also, most of the episode themes have something to do with philosophy or some message about life. In the end, Seraphim Call is a nice light series but at the same time with some in-depth subjects Staff & Crew

Before one labels a history as cliché, predictable or beaten, think about this: "What really matters is life and how you live it, not the predictability of Death"
