Ray has a unique ability: She can see thru objects, and even more important, through the human body. Wanting to help people, she graduated a doctor, and now uses her ability to perform dangerous surgeries that only she is capable of on terminal patients or weird never-heard-off diseases. Meanwhile, Ray searches for the mystery of her childhood and cause of her ability: she was grown in an institution that literally raised children to donate their organs when needed: when required, they just stripped the organ and killed the child - and that's how Ray lost her eyes. However, thanks for the skillful world famous surgeon Black Jack (anime from which Ray is an spin off), she received her new mysterious eyes and was rescued from the criminal organization that she now seek vengeance. Pacing The title focuses a quite bit on Ray and her ability, with the pacing being almost "patient of the week". However, all the patients, the hospital in which Ray works, and her friends, are always collecting information and tips about the organization that abused Ray as a child, and eventually start to find out more connections with their patients than they wanted to. As the mystery unfolds, a pleasant subtle romance also develops between Ray and her best friend and "partner" Shinoyama, and in the middle of ethical and personal interest problems, it ends up adding doubts about Ray's belief that anyone pursuing high goals in medical science (as Shinoyama, as a prominent robotic-medicine engineer, creator of the most advanced artificial heart to date) is in fact only after the money, as those who once used her. Is that true? Conclusion A small and interesting title, Ray show us a solid and meaningful plot enough to leave us curious about it, and charismatic characters that involve us into the romance, making it actually "work". With a nice and conclusive ending, Ray will probably not leave anyone disappointed. Check it out. ![]() Staff & Crew

Before one labels a history as cliché, predictable or beaten, think about this: "What really matters is life and how you live it, not the predictability of Death"
