After a bad batch of animes (new Terra he and Shinning Tears, old Fafner), finally something I can rest assured for quality, not only that, outstanding above the average quality.

From the opening credits you can tell this is going on the right track. The art style is amazing, from art to animation, everything is fluid and pretty, I felt like I was watching an movie-quality anime and not just a 26 episodes series. Than, as soon as 2 or 3 minutes into the anime, you get the immediate feeling that character development will be the focus of this anime ... and indeed it was. Plot is important but you see this will be oriented to make you care for the characters while following the promissing plot.

I can't tell much from where the anime is going since the first episode is just an introduction for the characters and plot, but I certainly got a good vibe out of this one. So good I can tell you this is a winner already. I have felt the same very often, and all of the times I felt I was watching a winner one, they ended up on my top list ... Seirei no Moribito is above those in "first impression", so it will hardly disapoint ;)

important note: Animenfo review not only is incorrect, but it also spoils a lot (spoiled the hell out of me, I don't know when some stuff that is written there will be shown at the anime, but it actually spoiled one of the mysteries the series had dang ... do not seek more reviews from animenfo, you were warned

hoora hoora I watched up to episode 5 (after episode 1, cliffhangers up to 5), what was good gets better ;)

I guess I will stop now and wait for the complete set ;) only minnor grip I had thus far is with the huge lips on Balsa, but that's almost a trademark for Production I.G. latest works, so nothing we can do, also, it doesn't show up all that often (man, that was picky and superficial, I better get to sleep before I mention that kid's huge front teeth)
