I made this whole wallpaper, including the vector, at my notebook at my hotel stay ~ yeah, nothing to do.
The image comes from the initial sequence of episode 16 of Aria ~ the natural. In this awesome bucolical and warm scene, I decided to wall instantly and got the printscreen as I watched. The image itself, inside the printscreen, was no more than 300x200, so even at 1500x1000 enlargement the vector work was quite hard to make. The work was only increased because I had to use the notebook mini-mouse to vector. I removed some details from the vector because it was impossible to figure it out: Akari-chan and Aika-chan were about 30x20px in the original and thus I could not make them out. I used a scan to pick Alice's colors and the details at her hands and dress. The wallpaper is exactly as the anime scene. The sea used a whole new tecnique since I did not have my brush/templates for sea ... and it came out better than ever, life is all about learning isn't it? The clouds I also used another way to create it, instead of burn-tool and dark clouds to make the shadows, I drew the shadows with the final color already, which look a lot more natural - again, better than my usual clouds. Since a lot of people cannot understand the easy going feeling and bucolic feeling such wall can pass, I than took some time to fill it up with useless effects and create an alternate version for those who think the original is too "empty" (die please) To me, this is my best wallpaper ever, it easilly overshadows "Drop of Hope". Just looking at it at my notebook desktop brings me to peace and I fell so good. About me
