I strongly suggest you stop it, can't you see the wallpaper is balanced? adding a lake/boat will remove the balance, not to mention if you keep insisting in adding them on the same side as the girl, you will polute all the left side =p

I'll have to fix my boat, it looks sorta jagged. yay this now looks good, notice how the whole wallpaper has the same tone and the different color in the character is just enough to giveher some highlight. The other stuff were just removing the highlight from the right location (the character) and spreading it all over the place at random, thus it were realy bad, not it's good
The shadow indeed came out very nice. If you insist in those trees, you could try to make them more soft, with white and very light green, to match the color theme of the image, and probably on background instead of foreground. some little more "small" grass on foreground to remove the areas without any could help, but that would be nitpicking already =p If you are looking for perfect safety, you will do well to sit on a fence and watch the birds - Wilber Wright 183 Wallpapers Kero at 424 days
Oh My Good what did you do? please get rid of these trees ASAP, I fail to see how a soft-blue wallpaper matches .. AT ALL .. with those annoying green things ><; really, it looks so horrible I could reject this right now ><;
Also, what's up with the dark blur? , dark snow-flakes ??? really weird stuff!
The shadow is indeed excelent, you overdid it =p I was thinking something simpler like just a blur shadow, but this looks better (though you should add a glow now to show the light comming in from around here .

hum... it's not suppost to be 1024x768. Aghhh... i'll have to check this out. Oh... is that my res it's showing? ... try cliking on "more resolutions" icon ><; yes it's showing your resolution =p anyway, I agree with miriam, the girl seams to be floating ... ever heard of a concept named "shadow" ? =p But I like the background, I don't think it's that empty, it fits ok. Only think is: this tree positioning was VERY unfortunate, it looks as if it's comming out of the girl xD~ try moving it a little to one or the other side lol

I tried to dull the color some cause the overall color scheme was pretty much white and bright sky blue, so I try to darken the entire image a bit with some dull color like gray and darker shades of blue.

I think you should work more on the background. I looks kind of simple. The grass looks weird the way it is now. I think your intention was to put only a few because of the snow, but these ones
look like they're floating. Also these ones could me smaller.I think you overdid with the snow over her head. The trees look plain =/ The sky is nice. I like its colors ^^ The resolution if fine.
