I added a little curve and some sketchyness? I think it may be done

YESSSSSSSS!!! now that's what me and hamster was talikng about:

this "little" yet fundamental curve made a looot of diference (at last in my point of view)...

really good progress overall Ashley, and i hope to see more of your wacom drawings soon...

The hair is a lot better. Now it looks like it's got volume. ^^

Hm I dont think I made the shoulders and stuff any better.

Hmm let me try to explain better.

You see, the part from below her ribs to her waist is narrower. I've also traced the curve of the back in red.

In your vector, this part is too high, and this part goes downwards which makes that part of her back look like there is a very gentle, smooth bump. As I was saying, it should curve the other way. Doesn't have to be very sharp curve, something like this (imageshack) will do. (Hope you don't mind me doodling over your work. >_< )

Actually, also take a look at Kero's signature image; it's quite similar although the camera angle is a bit off.

The only thing that still annoys me a bit is the empy area here kind of don't match.

I rather like how that part looks like brushstrokes, but I agree that it shouldn't be totally empty. Perhaps put some transparent pink to give the dress a watercolor painting effect and fill up that gap a bit?

For the background, I'm not fond of the (alternate) one where you can see the bg cloudy sky through her face and arm. Imho just stick to the main version.

Other than that, I think you're all set. ^^

You could also try to make the shadows melt a little better on her shoulders and face , they are too sudden IMHO.

The image is very pretty but it's way too blurry, don't even look like a vector because of that

Indeed blurry, if I hadn't read the description first before DL the fullsize I might have thought it was painted. Unexpected but I wouldn't consider it a defect. It's actually a nice effect, I like it very much.

Vector suggestions:

Try putting more colors into the hair, like in the scan; maybe something like the effect you've got with the shading of the face and shoulders. Hair currently looks much more flat compared to flesh areas. Unless that is exactly what you intended it to look like?

Something about the arch of the back bothers me - I think it's that slight bump on the left part. The shoulders and upper back part curves up (convex), correct, but the mid to lower back should curve down throughout (concave). Here's a reference for drawing the female form that shows the arch of the back quite clearly; If you need I'm willing to help hunt up some similar poses that you can refer to as well. Alternatively, you could modify so that it isn't so much a smooth bump but looks more like obvious big creases in her clothes.

As for the background, I rather like the use of the flourishes (are those brushes or vectored?) in the alt version, the shapes work quite well and lends a flair to the whole piece. You might want to try making them opaque rather than transparent, see how the effect turns out? Anyhow, I think the background's not bad; with a minimal color scheme like that perhaps keeping it mostly white as it is will do just fine.

I think it's all going very nicely; I like the style and direction this is headed in; look forward to more!

"vector on wacom"?!?!

OMG, i didnt' think wacom could be used for doing that... hahaha... =p

anyway, i guess vectoring on wacom must be pretty hard, and using computer programs should be easier, but maybe if you have the talent with wacom, we can see a diferent output...

i wish luck on your journey with wacom... hehe...

ah, about version: prefer the alternative... I brushes, and they are merging with the painting nicely in this case...

The image is very pretty but it's way too blurry, don't even look like a vector because of that (since most vectors have sharp well-defined edges).

Nevertheless I think this is going good, looking foward for the progress ^^
