I like the idea ^^ But I didn't like the blue+yellow combination o_O' (it's just me but I think you should pick another blue >.>)
The striped pattern is coming out here and here. Was that your intention?

I like the concept, though it's kind of weird how it's all yellow just by one side xD~
However there are some ugly artifacts with the extraction to the left (on the shouvle thing ) that must be adressed. Could be also a good idea to try to reduce scan noise somehow (blurs, smudges, half vectors, etc). Because of that I'll leave it as temporary.
